Precautions For The Production Of Water-based Glue

In recent years, in the development and research of adhesives, the implementation of safety and pollution-free, especially solvation-free, has promoted the development of water-based adhesives.

Water-based adhesive is the dispersion medium of high polymer with water, when the high polymer is dissolved in water, it is called water-soluble adhesive, and when the high polymer is dispersed in water with the effect of emulsifier, it is called water-emulsion adhesive. The advantages of water-based adhesives are: friendly to the environment, non-toxic, non-combustible, high solid content, available in existing application equipment and equipment easier to clean.

Precautions in production:

1. How to improve production efficiency?

The auxiliaries are classified and weighed and placed separately to ensure easy access. Clean and tidy up the workshop in time.

Equipped with high pressure water gun to clean the reactor in time. Equipped with post-elimination tanks and storage tanks. Realize semi-continuous production.

In the heat preservation stage to complete the next pot of pre-emulsion production, the specific method is: if continuous production, the pre-emulsified raw materials are added and stirred fully; If the production is semi-continuous, only water, emulsifier and main monomer can be added to stir evenly, and the auxiliary agents placed separately can be added when the production starts.

Increased filtration speed. The filter method is not feasible. The simple and quick method is: the 200L double-port plastic drum is vertically symmetrical cut, slightly tilted flat on the bracket, and plastic valves are installed at the bottom end of the drum, and the bottom is covered with steel mesh and the top is covered with nylon filter cloth; To achieve the purpose of increasing the contact surface and increasing the speed.

2. What are the effects of stirring intensity on the emulsion production process and product quality?

The effect of stirring intensity on the diameter of latex particles: in emulsion polymerization, the larger the stirring speed, the larger the diameter of latex particles and the smaller the number of latex particles. This is because in the stage of emulsion polymerization and dispersion, when the number of revolutions is large, the monomer is dispersed into smaller monomer droplets, and the surface area of the monomer droplets in each 1cm³ water is larger, and the emulsion dose adsorbed on the surface of the monomer droplets is increased. As a result, the number of micelles per 1cm³ water is reduced, the probability of nucleation is reduced, and the number of latex particles Np(1cm³ water) generated is reduced. When the initial monomer amount is constant, the diameter of latex particle will increase.
