Operation Process of Automatic Labeling Machine


Automatic labeling machine is a device that can paste rolls of paper or metal foil labels on specified packaging containers or products. The back of the label comes with adhesive and is regularly arranged on the smooth paper, and the stripping mechanism of the labeling machine can automatically peel it off. Labeling can complete plane paste, single or multiple side paste of packaging, cylindrical paste, partial or full cover cylinder paste, depression and corner paste and other operations.


When the sensor sends a signal that the label is ready to be labeled, the driving wheel of the labeling machine rotates. Since the drum label is in a tensioned state on the device, when the bottom paper is running close to the stripping plate and changes the direction, the front end of the label is forced out and ready for labeling due to the rigidity of its own material. At this time, the labeling object is located at the bottom of the label, and synchronous labeling is realized under the action of the labeling wheel. After labeling, the sensor under the drum label sends a signal to stop running, the driving wheel is stationary, and a labeling cycle is completed.

 

No matter what type of labeling machine, the labeling process is roughly similar, the difference is: the installation position of the labeling device is different, the transportation method of the labeling object is different, the positioning method is different, and the form of the labeling roller is different.

 

General automatic labeling machine has requirements for labels:

(1) Surface material

The firmness of the label is the key to the target, so it requires a certain strength and hardness of the surface material, and the firmness of the label is related to the thickness of the material and the area of the label, so when using soft film materials, it is necessary to increase its thickness appropriately, generally controlled above 100μm. Thin paper materials, such as 60-70g /m2 labeling paper, are generally not suitable for large labels, but suitable for processing into small labels, such as the price tag used on the price gun. The poor firmness of the label will cause the label not to be labeled, or the label will be rewound with the backing paper, making the automatic labeling ineffective.

(2) Release force

Also known as the stripping force, is the force when the label is removed from the backing paper. The release force is related to the type and thickness of the adhesive and the silicon coating on the surface of the backing paper, as well as the ambient temperature at the time of labeling. The release force is too small, and the label is easy to drop off (from the bottom paper) during the conveying process; The release force is too large, and it is difficult for the label to break away from the backing paper. Various technical indexes should be controlled comprehensively to make the release force within a reasonable range.

(3) Backing paper

It is also an important indicator to control automatic labeling. It is required that the surface of the base paper is coated with silicon uniformly and the release force is consistent. Uniform thickness, good tensile strength, to ensure that the label does not break; Uniform thickness, good light transmission, to ensure that the sensor correctly identifies the position of the label.

(4) Processing quality

It is required that both sides of the bottom paper are smooth and without cracks after cutting, so as to avoid the bottom paper breaking when the tension changes. When die-cutting, avoid cutting through the bottom paper or destroying the silicon coating layer, the bottom paper and the silicon coating layer are damaged, which is easy to break the bottom paper or the adhesive in the label penetrates into the bottom paper, and there is no mark and tear the bottom paper. In addition, the static electricity in the web label should be eliminated before labeling, because static electricity will cause no labeling or inaccurate labeling.
