FAQ About Diapers

The reporter interviewed the diaper research and development engineer, for the current novice mothers on the diaper some doubts were asked.

Q: Many babies wear diapers easily red butt, what is the reason? How to prevent it?

The skin texture of infants is different from that of adults. The thickness of infants' skin is only 1/3 to half of that of adults. Due to their delicate skin, infants' skin is vulnerable to stimulation from three aspects: stimulation from infant excrement, stimulation from contact and friction with diapers, and stimulation caused by hot and humid sweat and urine.

There are three steps you can take to protect your baby's skin: Keep your baby's butt clean, choose soft diapers, keep them dry, and pair them with baby butt cream to protect your butt against red butt.

Q: It has been said that wearing nappies can cause O-legs in babies. What do you think?

The baby came to the world, before learning to crawl and stand before the natural posture of legs is bent, the baby lies down when the knee, leg and thigh naturally into 90 degrees bending, is the baby's natural state of development, do not mind too much, if the baby's legs straight, but not conducive to the development of children, I think O legs and wearing diapers are not necessarily related.

Q: Will the widening and thickening of diapers increase the burden on the baby's legs?

Diapers are soft, and even if widened, the pressure from the human body is greater, and will not increase the burden of the baby.

Q: Many mothers say that wearing diapers will leak urine. What do you think is the reason?

Frequent urine leakage is mainly caused by the following three reasons: First, the diaper has reached the maximum absorption capacity, no more urine will absorb. Secondly, the diapers are not the right size. Third, the position of the wear is not adjusted properly.

Q: How often do you think you should change your diaper? If you wear it for a long time without wetting, do you need to change it?

First rule out the situation, change your poop immediately. There is no definition of how often to change a diaper, it is recommended to change once every 3 hours, if the baby's urine volume is large, you can shorten the time.

If the baby does not pee for a long time, do not change can also, but we have to consider another reason, even if the baby does not pee, may also exclude a lot of sweat, sweat will stimulate the baby's skin, and similar to adults, adults sweat underwear should be replaced in time.

Q: Some diapers are divided into boys and girls. Do you think it is necessary?

In general I don't think it's particularly necessary to distinguish between boys and girls. The diapers designed separately for male and female babies on the market are mainly designed to distinguish the location of the diversion layer according to the difference of the urine parts. The general diaper design has an ultra-long diversion layer, excellent diffusion performance, can quickly spread from one point to the whole absorption core body, large absorption area, dry surface. So there's no need to distinguish between men and women.

Q: Why do some diapers form a small lump after urinating?

It clumps in one part because the diaper's absorbent factor isn't very good. The absorbent factor itself absorbs the water and expands into a gel-like clump, where the urine is stuck. The absorbent factor used in the whole family's diapers absorbs urine and quickly conducts it away, putting more absorbent factor to good use. So it can be evenly diffused and not clumped by local excessive absorption.

Q: At what age do you think a baby should try to urinate without wearing a diaper?

Look at the growth and development of the baby, if the baby can realize that he is going to pee, and has good expression ability, can pass information to adults through expression, posture, speech, etc., this time can be gradually out of the diaper. Seasonally, it is recommended to practice diaper-free training in the summer, when you can take care of yourself if you pee with less clothing. If you had to set an ideal time, I personally think it would be the summer of 1-2 years old, when you can try to get rid of diapers.
