The PUR laminating line is a highly automated piece of equipment. It is mainly used to smoothly and firmly laminate various decorative materials onto the surfaces of different substrates. It is applicable to decorative materials such as PET, PETG, EB, PP, PVC, CPL, fireproof boards, acrylic, aluminum 箔,SPC, etc. It uses PUR glue to evenly laminate them onto the surfaces of the boards. The substrates can be chosen from inorganic materials, wooden fiberboards, metal boards and so on. It combines advanced mechanical, electrical and automation control technologies to realize the fully automated operation of the whole process from board loading, gluing, laminating to unloading. It can efficiently and precisely produce high-quality laminated boards and is widely used in many industries like furniture, decoration and construction.
Components of PUR laminating line
Loading Area: It's the beginning part where the boards enter the equipment. There is an automatic loading device that can adjust the loading method intelligently according to the characteristics like the size and weight of the boards. It includes conveyor belts and robotic arms. Besides, there are detection sensors to monitor the parameters of the boards to ensure that the boards entering the processing are of qualified quality.
Gluing System: It consists of a gluing roller and a glue supply system. The gluing roller is made of high-precision stainless steel with a specially treated surface, which is wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. The glue supply system is of the pressure tank type and can precisely control the pressure and flow of the glue. It works with the gluing roller to achieve quantitative coating and can also switch the types of glue and the corresponding parameters.
Laminating Device: It is driven by a servo motor to precisely align and laminate the decorative materials and the substrates. It has high laminating accuracy and uses a buffer mechanism to reduce the impact force and prevent the boards from being damaged.
Compacting Mechanism: It is composed of several compacting rollers. The compacting rollers are made of rubber with moderate hardness and a certain roughness on the surface. The pressure can be adjusted according to the material and thickness of the boards so that the glue can penetrate evenly and enhance the bonding strength and stability of the boards.
Curing Unit: Corresponding equipment is equipped according to the curing characteristics of the glue. For example, for PUR glue, a combination of infrared heating and hot air circulation is used to control the temperature and time well to ensure that the glue is fully cured and improve the bonding strength and weather resistance of the boards.
Unloading Area: There is an automatic unloading device. It cooperates with the loading area to orderly move the finished boards to the designated positions. It also has a detection function to recheck the quality of the finished products and deal with defective ones.
Control System: It includes a human-machine interface (touch screen operation interface) and a programmable logic controller (PLC). The human-machine interface makes it convenient for operators to set parameters and monitor the status of the equipment. The PLC precisely controls and coordinates all aspects of the equipment and also has the functions of self-diagnosis and alarm for faults.
Working Principle of PUR laminating line
The loading area automatically transports the substrate to the position of the gluing system. The gluing system evenly applies the glue onto the surface of the substrate according to the preset parameters.

The laminating device precisely aligns the decorative material with the glued substrate and completes the laminating action under appropriate pressure.

The compacting mechanism compacts the laminated boards to make the glue penetrate better between the decorative material and the substrate, forming a firm bond.

The boards enter the curing unit. Under suitable temperature and time conditions, the glue is cured, making the decorative material and the substrate closely combined.

The unloading area automatically outputs the processed laminated boards. The whole process is precisely coordinated by the control system to ensure the high efficiency and stability of the laminating process.
