Operation And Maintenance Of Vacuum Membrane Press Machine

                               Vacuum Membrane Press Machine

A vacuum membrane press machine, also known as a vacuum thermoforming machine, utilizes the principles of vacuum and pressure to apply PVC membrane onto various irregularly shaped workpieces under specific process conditions. The improved vacuum membrane press machine is suitable for PVC membranes, transfer films (PET), and can even apply real wood veneers (imitation wood veneer, engineered wood veneer) after adding silicone rubber plates. This machine offers versatility and finds wide applications in the furniture and custom interior design industries. The modern vacuum membrane press machine is highly automated and user-friendly.

Usage and Operation of Vacuum Membrane Press Machine

The equipment should be operated by a dedicated operator who has received training to understand the machine's performance, master the laminating process, and prioritize safety in production.

Turn on the heating switch and set the temperature, vacuum level, and preheating time according to the production process requirements. When starting the vacuum pump for the first time each day or after an extended shutdown, use the jog switch twice before turning it on, which helps maintain the normal operation of the vacuum pump.

Prepare the workpieces by ensuring their surfaces are smooth, apply PVC membrane adhesive evenly, place the prepared workpieces on the retractable cushion of the laminating station, lift the frame for pressing the PVC membrane, lay the PVC membrane flat, lower the pressing frame, ensuring the PVC membrane is smooth, undamaged, and without air leaks or foreign objects.

Move the laminating station into the heating control box and preheat the PVC membrane as per the set timer. Once the set time elapses, the vacuum pump will automatically start the vacuum laminating process. After lamination is complete, maintain a constant temperature for 30s to 90s (this parameter can be adjusted), and then the workpiece will automatically exit. The machine also performs an automatic cooling function, and you can only remove the workpiece after it has cooled.

Carefully record the process parameters for the adsorption materials and adhesive used during production. This will be helpful for future work.

Maintenance and Care of Vacuum Membrane Press Machine

Keep the worktable clean to prevent dust and sawdust from accumulating on it. Regularly clean the air filter to avoid blockage, which could affect product quality.

After the initial month of usage and subsequently, change the vacuum pump oil. Check the oil level weekly, and if it falls below one-third of the gauge, refill it immediately. Use specialized vacuum pump oil. If the oil appears contaminated, replace it promptly. Before changing the oil, run the vacuum pump for 30 minutes to thin the oil, then stop the pump, drain the oil, open the air inlet, and run it for 1-2 minutes. Slowly add a small amount of clean oil through the intake to replace the stored oil inside.

During normal operation, all protective panels must remain in place to prevent accidents.

Monitor the equipment's operation closely during production, addressing any issues promptly. Electrical problems should be handled by qualified professionals.

Remember to follow these guidelines for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of the vacuum membrane press machine.
