The products can be used for the adhesion of fabrics, leather, wood, plastic, metal, ceramics and other materials, as well as for the adhesion and protection of electronic components, book binding, low pressure injection molding process, tape production, etc.
High molecular weight polyamide hot melt adhesive: good fluidity, high bonding strength, dry cleaning and washing resistance;
Low molecular weight polyamide hot melt adhesive: good strength and toughness, most of the properties are better than EVA hot melt adhesive.
Under normal circumstances, the softening point of polyamide hot melt adhesive can be from about 100°C to more than 200°C, can resist low temperature to minus 40°C, high temperature resistance to 200°C, at normal temperature, the specific gravity is usually 0.97 [1].
The basic color of polyamide hot melt adhesive is amber (yellow), but it can also be turned into black by adding carbon black, and white by adding titanium dioxide, and there are some uncommon cases in which other pigments are converted to other colors. Color-changing polyamide hot melt adhesives are often used in special applications such as low pressure injection molding processes.
Since polyamide hot melt adhesive is generated by acid and amine polymerization reaction, there are usually indicators at both ends of the acid value and amine value as a reference, and the acid and amine polymerization reaction is usually terminated by one end of the reaction is close to the end of the other end. Therefore, in the acid and amine value index, under normal circumstances, the high acid value is the low amine value, and the high amine value is the low acid value. In the rare case where the values are close to each other, an equilibrium is reached and the reaction terminates.
