BOPP cigarette packaging film, also known as biaxially oriented polypropylene cigarette film, abbreviated as cigarette film, is produced by coextruding and stretching various functional polypropylene materials. Currently, domestic manufacturers generally use a three-layer (A/B/C) coextrusion technology to produce high-performance BOPP cigarette packaging film through biaxial stretching. It has high transparency and glossiness, non-toxic material, stable molecular structure, and certain barrier properties against odors and moisture, making it an ideal material for cigarette packaging.
BOPP cigarette packaging film is generally divided into heat shrinkable type and ordinary type:
- Heat shrinkable type cigarette packaging film: Due to its higher heat shrinkage rate, typically greater than 7%, heat shrinkable film can tightly and uniformly wrap cigarette packs after packaging, ensuring long-term tightness without loosening. Its main features include excellent body-fitting packaging effect, overcoming the problem of relaxation and wrinkles in packaging film for hard box packaging, and due to the use of special processing technology, it has low-temperature heat shrinkability, high transparency, glossiness, and better high-speed packaging performance.
- Ordinary type cigarette packaging film: Ordinary type cigarette film generally has a smaller heat shrinkage performance, with a shrinkage rate typically controlled at (2%-5%), commonly used for small box soft packs and pack bars.

- Low haze, non-whitening can fully reflect the brightness of the cigarette box color.
- Good heat shrinkability can provide compact packaging effects.
- Specially designed differential slip performance on the inner surface of the film is particularly suitable for body-fitting packaging.
- Excellent machine adaptability, capable of adapting to various hard box cigarette packaging machines for fast packaging.
- Colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and with high tensile strength, impact strength, rigidity, toughness, and good transparency.
