According to the data of State General Administration of Customs compiled and analyzed by China Adhesive and Tape Industry Association/National Adhesive Information Station, in the third quarter of 2024 (July-September), the import and export volume/value of the adhesive and tape industry is as follows:
- Adhesives: import volume was 47,200 tons, import value was 768 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 6.31% (44,400 tons) and 13.95% (674 million U.S. dollars) over the same period of 2023; export volume was 299,300 tons, export value was 770 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 19.39% (250,700 tons) over the same period of 2023, and 9.07% ( 706 million U.S. dollars).
- Adhesive Tape: imports of 37,500 tons, imports of $ 894 million, compared with the same period in 2023 were up 15.74% (32,400 tons) and 12.17% ($ 797 million); exports of 677,200 tons, exports of $ 2.467 billion, compared with the same period in 2023, respectively, an increase of 17.73% (575,200 tons) and 7.82% ( US$2.288 billion).
In the first three quarters of 2024 (January-September), the import and export volume/value of the adhesive and adhesive tape industry is as follows:
- Adhesives: imports of 137,200 tons, import value of $ 2.057 billion, an increase of 10.82% (123,800 tons) and 14.47% ($ 1.797 billion) over the same period in 2023; exports of 837,700 tons, export value of $ 2.207 billion, an increase of 21.60% (688,900 tons) over the same period in 2023 and 7.40% ($2.055 billion).
- Adhesive Tape: imports of 109,300 tons, the import value of 2.559 billion U.S. dollars, compared with the same period in 2023, respectively, an increase of 19.85% (91,200 tons) and 12.24% (2.280 billion U.S. dollars); exports of 1.9046 million tons, exports of 7.369 billion U.S. dollars, compared with the same period in 2023, respectively, an increase of 19.61% (1.5923 million tons) and 9.22% ($6.747 billion).
