Troubleshooting And Maintenance For Laminating Machine

Troubleshooting for Laminating Machine

Machine not starting: Input wire disconnected, power line connected improperly, insufficient voltage.

Inaccurate temperature measurement: Incorrect installation or damage to thermocouples or temperature controllers.

Inadequate working vacuum: Air passage blocked, manual or solenoid valves not closed, loose vacuum pump motor belt, damaged vacuum gauge.

Main power switch tripping: Leakage in input wires to the heating chamber, distribution box leakage, external wires touching the equipment, motor leakage, etc.

Film not properly adhering: Insufficient vacuum, air leaks, inadequate temperature, too thin film, workpiece previously attached to other materials, workpiece's concavity exceeding film lift, insufficient film lift, workpiece too close.

Surface defects or improper sealing: Film not properly stretched, poor film quality, inadequate workpiece polishing, excessive adhesive spraying, low position of the substrate beneath the workpiece.

Film not lifted when it should be: Check if solenoid or manual valves are open.

Film tearing: Excessive temperature, prolonged heating, poor film quality, lack of heating.

Poor adhesion to the table.

Maintenance for Laminating Machine

Regularly check if adhesive residue or dirt is present on the rubber rollers, preventing the protective film from adhering directly to the laminating rollers. Clean the roller surface promptly using solvent (alcohol or xylene), ensuring it stays clean and shiny, especially from hardened adhesive, to maintain roller cleanliness.

After each use, clean the machine immediately to prevent quality issues in the next use. Wipe the rollers with a soft cloth soaked in adhesive solvent (alcohol or xylene). Avoid using sharp tools (such as blades) on the roller surface to prevent damage.

If the roller needs to stop rotating for an extended period, stop the heating element first to prevent excessive heat from damaging the roller and affecting its surface temperature balance, which directly influences the laminating effect.

After use, stop heating, wait for the temperature to drop below 80°C, stop the roller rotation, lift the roller, and then switch off the power. If there's an automatic shutdown function, activate it before switching off the power.

Ensure cleanliness of the laminating equipment, particularly the rollers, platform, and balance rollers, by conducting daily checks after every shift.

During lamination, ensure no slippage between the film core and the fixing clip to prevent uneven tension affecting the lamination quality.

When operating the touch screen, lightly tap and avoid applying excessive force or using hard objects on the screen surface.

Regularly lubricate various transmission parts and sliding surfaces to maintain proper machine lubrication. Especially for the large bearings of the laminating rollers, due to high pressure and temperature, use high-temperature lubricating oil (ideally, apply every 50 hours of heating operation) to ensure normal operation under high temperature and pressure. Apply lubricating oil to rotating shafts regularly for reliable rotation.

For daily usage, apply a small amount of machine oil to the transmission chain monthly and clean the chain every six months. Perform a comprehensive annual inspection to promptly address any issues found.
