Automatic Edgebander
The contour edge banding machine is a woodworking tool specifically designed to apply edge banding to boards with non-straight edges (such as round, wavy, or irregular polygonal wooden panels). After edge banding, the board edges become both aesthetically pleasing and durable-less prone to damage and safe from splinters.
The fully automatic contour edge banding machine is even more convenient: it eliminates the need for manual feeding, as the machine automatically conveys the boards for processing. 1. Multi-axis Motion Processing Head
The machine's processing head is mounted on a robotic arm that can move in multiple directions (forward/backward, left/right, up/down) and features "shape-following technology" (either contour tracing or precise CNC control). Whether the board edges are round, wavy, or irregular polygonal, it can closely track the contour to complete gluing, edge band pressing, and edge trimming step by step-delivering meticulous and accurate results.
2. Adjustable Milling Head
This component can move up/down, forward/backward, and rotate at different angles. It can be precisely adjusted to match boards of varying thicknesses, edge angles, and shapes. Equipped with a specially designed high-speed motor, its rotation speed can reach over 8,000 RPM. Users can adjust the speed based on the board material (e.g., solid wood, MDF) and the desired smoothness of the processed surface.
3. Precision Gluing System
The machine's glue pot is heated by high-temperature thermal oil or electric heating tubes, paired with an intelligent PID temperature control module. This keeps temperature fluctuations within ±1℃ (or even smaller), ensuring the glue remains in optimal working condition. During gluing, a glue roller and doctor blade work together to evenly apply molten glue to the board edges-avoiding excess, insufficiency, or missing spots.
4. Flexible Pressing Device
Some models are equipped with adjustable upper/lower pressing beams or high-strength suction cups. Regardless of the board's thickness or shape (regular or irregular), the pressure can be adjusted to firmly fix the board. This ensures the edge band adheres tightly to the board without bubbling or warping.
